Today many groups and organizations use and create Star Wars patches to communicate and identify a specific event or celebration. One of the most prevalent is The Boy Scouts of America, which have been using Star Wars imagery since 1977.
The BSA use patches as a huge part of there identity and they pride themselves on troop and achievement patches. Collecting and trading patches is a huge part of the scout experience and they routinely hold patch trading events at National Jamborees with thousands of scouts trading patches for days. Events are usually themed and Star Wars Patches are always on the top of every scout’s agenda.
Star Wars Boy Scout patches have become extremely desirable and boy scouts and collectors are seeing very exclusive limited pieces on the market
(If they come up at all). Most patches are produced in small quantities for a troop specific event or a sponsorship and limited to only that lodge or event. Special scoutmaster or delegate versions are even more limited and considered true museum pieces.
Ive spent a lifetime living by the Boy Scout Oath: On my honor, I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law; to help other people at all times; to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake and morally straight.
A Scout is: Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind,
Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, and Reverent.
I suggest you take a serious close look my Jedi Eagle Scout…for what you are about to see or try to find is truly inspiring!
